The American Condition

The U.S. death count for 1996 totaled 2,314,690. Heart disease took the lives of over 733,000 Americans, accounting for more than 31% of all fatalities that year. Cancer killed over 539,000 Americans, or more than 23% of the total. Strokes caused the deaths of over 159,000 Americans, or nearly 7%.

Meanwhile, at this very moment millions more suffer from chronic conditions such as gout, acne, ulcers, gastritis, indigestion, colitis, spastic colon, constipation, headaches, kidney disorders, bladder disorders, high blood pressure, hardening of the arteries, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, and many more.

Poor dietary habits and sedentary lifestyles are responsible for the vast majority of these disorders. The medical profession believes the answer resides in catching the problem early and treating it. The homeopathic profession believes in eliminating these problems before they ever begin. This is the purpose of ‘The Cleanse’.

THE COLON

In 1996 47,905 people died of colon cancer.

The colon's primary function is to store indigestible material until it can be eliminated. The colon’s secondary function is to complete the digestion and absorption of the small fraction of remaining nutrients in the feces. Bacteria facilitate digestion within the colon to the extent that one third of the dry weight of fecal matter is bacteria. For this reason, when waste material remains in the colon too long it begins to putrefy and thus becomes toxic. Then the colon absorbs the remaining nutrients with the toxins. If the colon does not average one bowel movement for every meal consumed it is poisoning the system.

Herbal Detoxification

Colon Formula was designed to eliminate this problem. Its individual herbs were chosen by experts in the field of herbal medicine for their potent therapeutic qualities. Colon Formula strengthens the peristaltic muscles of the colon. It also uses a powerful group of detoxifying herbs to thoroughly cleanse the colon and regulate bowel movements.

THE LIVER AND GALLBLADDER

The liver and gallbladder work hand in hand in the production, storage, and secretion of bile, important for the digestion and absorption of fats. In addition, the liver contributes to energy exchange and metabolism. The liver also functions as a detoxifying organ for the blood.

Digestive System

Gallbladder, Duodenum, & Pancreas

Digestion

The liver, the largest of the abdominal organs, is actually made up of two separate lobes that lie in the upper part of the abdominal cavity just beneath the diaphragm. The liver secretes a substance called bile into the hepatic ducts. For this reason the liver is classified as an exocrine gland. In fact, it is the largest gland in the human body. When food is not present in the small intestine, newly produced bile is diverted into the gallbladder via the hepatic ducts, where it is concentrated and stored. During digestion the gallbladder contracts, expelling bile into the small intestine via the common bile duct.

Bile is a watery fluid containing bicarbonate, and bile salts, that emulsifies fat to prepare it for digestion by the small intestine. The bicarbonate neutralizes acid from the stomach in the small intestine by raising its pH.

Nutrition and Metabolism

The liver plays a major role in the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Liver cells store several substances, notably iron and vitamins A and D. The liver also manufactures glycogen and stabilizes blood sugar levels.

The brain needs a continuous supply of blood glucose. For that reason the liver can slow down the body and its functions, alter thinking processes, and cause mood swings when it is operating at substandard levels.

Detoxification and Waste Removal

Another key role of the liver is the destruction and removal of certain body waste products and foreign substances. Liver cells break down poisonous substances such as bacterial products and certain drugs. The liver uses two methods for the removal of toxins. Some substances, such as cholesterol and bilirubin (a waste substance leftover from the destruction of red bloodcells), are secreted into the bile and eliminated with feces; others are destroyed as they pass through the liver on there way to general circulation.

Some other substances destroyed by the liver include alcohol, hormones, many drugs, and innumerable foreign compounds.

Liver and Gallbladder Disorders

The average person’s liver deteriorates dramatically with age. This condition exists as a result of being attacked by toxins in the environment and unhealthy foods. The liver’s workload eventually exceeds its capabilities. When the liver does not function properly common symptoms are depression, weight gain, poor digestion, chemical sensitivities, nausea, shakes, jaundice, and liver spots. Fortunately the liver will function with as much as 80% cell damage. If given the correct treatment it can be restored to 100% functionality.

Cholelithiasis-Cholelithiasis is a term that means “condition of having bile (gall) stones.” This condition occurs in nearly all of Americans. This condition was responsible for the deaths of over 25,000 Americans in 1996.
Jaundice-When a gallstone blocks the common bile duct bile is unable to drain into the small intestine. The feces become a gray-white color because of the lack of bilirubin and cholesterol present in bile. Furthermore, excessive amounts of bile are absorbed into the blood. The resulting yellowish skin discoloration is called jaundice. This condition can also be caused by the blockage of one of the hepatic ducts. Pain often accompanies this condition.
Cirrhosis-Hepatitis, chronic alcohol abuse, malnutrition, or infection can potentially create a degenerative liver condition called cirrhosis. The liver has the ability to regenerate damaged tissue, but there are limitations. When damage occures faster than the liver can regenerate itself , damaged tissue is replaced with fatty tissue instead of normal tissue. This is called cirrhosis. Symptoms of this condition are: nausea, anorexia, gray-white stools, weakness, and pain. The symptoms are the same reguardless of what caused the condition. Given time the liver may be able to repair itself, if the cause is removed and large amounts of protein are consumed.
Portal Hypertension-liver disorders such as hepatitus or cirrhosis can block the flow of blood through the liver. Blood will then back up into the hepatic portal circulation. As a result, the blood pressure in the hepatic circulation increases abnormally. This is called portal hypertension. New veins that are connected to the systemic veins form to relieve pressure. This often causes the veins lining the esophagus, stomach, and other organs to widen and become vericose. If these varicosities rupture after erosion by stomach acid, vomiting of blood occurs. The massive bleeding may result in death.

Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis-Acute Pancreatitis can be caused by a blockage in the common bile duct (most likely by gallstones) resulting in a backup of pancreatic juices or digestive enzymes. The enzymes are forced back into the pancreas where they begin digesting the pancreas itself. Approximately fifty percent of all cases result in death.

Herbal Detoxification

Liver Formula
Liver Formula was carefully formulated to include herbs that stimulate secretive functions; tone, nourish, and cleanse liver tissue; and remove obstructions from internal pathways.
The Gallbladder Flush
The Gallbladder Flush is a very simple process. The first step is the Orthophos formula. The Orthophos formula acts as a solvent, softening stones in the gallbladder. This stage is extremely important and cannot be bypassed. If stones were purged from the gallbladder as they are they would damage the internal ducts. Their softened condition will then allow them to pass safely through internal passageways.

The final step is the consumption of a large quantity of oil (specified in the program instructions). The oil has the effect of forcing the gallbladder to expel an unusually large amount of bile for the purpose of breaking down the fat. An effect of this is the expulsion of large numbers of stones from the gallbladder.

THE URINARY SYSTEM

The organs that make up the urinary system are the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.

The Kidneys

The rate of blood flow through this organ is among the highest in the body. Over 20% of the total blood pumped by the heart every minute enters the kidneys. They filter approximately 180 liters of fluid every day.

The kidneys remove toxic material from the blood, and send it to the bladder to be eliminated. They maintain the electrolyte, water, and acid-base balance in the body. They also regulate blood pressure by hormone secretion.

Kidney Failure

Most people’s daily habits have strong adverse effects on blood toxicity. Blood reaches the kidneys to unload waste, but the kidneys become increasingly incapable of meeting the demand. Eventually the kidneys become so overloaded with toxins and obstructions that they are forced to shut down. When both kidneys fail there are two options, a dialysis machine or death. Fatality results from excess poison wastes and body fluids, and a lack of vital nutrients.

Herbal Detoxification

Kidney Formula includes herbs that: are diuretic, rebuild urinary tissue, prevent and dissolve kidney stones and other inorganic calcifications, soothe and heal to ease the flow of urine, eliminate chronic irritability of the bladder, stimulate secretion, and relieve backaches caused by kidney disorders.

THE BLOOD

In 1996 over 950,000 Americans died from cardiovascular diseases.

The two major functions of the blood are transportation and protection. Blood provides vital pickup and delivery services and much of the protection necessary to withstand foreign invaders. Red blood cells deliver oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells, and transport carbon dioxide (CO2) and waste products from the body’s cells for disposal. White blood cells defend the body from microorganisms that have successfully invaded the tissues or bloodstream.

The makeup of the body changes with age. Hair, skin, teeth, and weight are obvious examples. However, most people don't realize the same is true with blood. In time environmental conditions, poor dietary habits, and substance abuse create an overwhelming buildup of toxins in the blood. The blood brings nutrients to every part of the body. If blood is unclean, it deposits toxins throughout the body. It feeds the body deadly poisons that slowly kill it.

Acne and Boils

Pimples and boils are "given life" from impure blood that is saturated with waste material. The blood stream deposits these wastes in the most vulnerable locations. Weakened or injured areas of the body accumulate waste materials because eliminative organs are not working properly. It is general practice to squeeze or lance these lesions. Unfortunately others appear elsewhere, because they are only symptoms of the condition, not the cause.

High Blood Pressure

The circulatory system is adversely affected when the structure of arteries and veins becomes over loaded with toxic fatty deposits and cholesterol. This slowly increases the thickness of arteries and veins. The condition is called arteriosclerosis or “hardening of the arteries.”

This condition begins with a weakness in the detoxifying organs. It is generally assumed that a major part of the problem is a high cholesterol diet. However, the real problem is with an unhealthy liver’s inability to remove normal cholesterol from the body once it has been processed. The blood has nowhere to take the unwanted cholesterol, and thus begins forming deposits.

Another important factor is the amount of dietary saturated fats. High fat foods contribute to the situation by adding excessive amounts of fatty substances to the blood stream. These toxic fats are either stored in the body’s fat cells or deposited in the circulatory system.

In time these deposits calcify permanently narrowing veins and arteries. Eventually veins and arteries become completely obstructed and the flow of blood is cut off. This condition leads to complete tissue death or necrosis. The next stage is gangrene and, finally, death.

Detoxifying the System as a Whole

Together the colon, liver, kidneys, gallbladder, and circulatory system make up a cooperative internal detoxification system. These organs must be corrected in a specific order to achieve success in improving the overall health of the system. For instance, when the blood is purified first the excess toxins will overload the liver and kidneys and cause distress in the system. However, when performed in the proper order the healthy liver and kidneys will be capable of processing those toxins. The first step is to cleanse and tone the colon. The second step is to detoxify and remove obstructions from the liver, gallbladder, and kidneys. The final step is to purify the blood. Then blood purifiers can remove toxins, and deliver them to a fully functional liver and kidneys. From there the toxins will be eliminated.

The blood purifiers are formulated with herbs that eliminate toxins, kill infection, and combat diseases such as arteriosclerosis, heart disease, strokes, and cancer.

The Immune System

Every day microorganisms attack the body. A sneeze, the touch of a button on an ATM machine, or a handshake puts the body in direct contact with bacteria and viruses. The immune system is the last line of defense against them. When they win a battle against the immune system the body becomes ill. The body will inevitably become ill when the immune system is weak.

When a virus infiltrates the body the immune system is supposed to counter attack. When the immune system is strong it will destroy the germs. Purple Cone Flower is extremely effective at strengthening the immune system as well as cleansing the blood.

WATER

The only dietary consideration that must be made for this program’s success is water consumption. In general, most individuals drink very little water. It is much more common to find them getting by on soft-drinks, milk, coffee, juice, and alcohol. The body needs at least 6 to 10 glasses of clean water a day. Water is necessary to flush out impurities.

CONCLUSION

It is the intention of BodyTune to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives without the constant fear of pain and death associated with the many preventable diseases that plague their society. Although people tend to avoid the frightening truth about their health, they must still live with their mortality. When they are willing to face the truth about their bodies they will begin to conquer the very diseases they are so terrified of.
